In conjunction with the writing of the 14 book essays, the Pittsburgh Philanthropy Project will engage civic leaders and philanthropic practitioners in a Civic Dialog about this legacy. Essay authors will present their works-in-progress at two topically-grouped colloquia at the University of Pittsburgh over an 18- month period. Philanthropic and civic leaders will engage with the book’s authors to help interpret historic and contemporary implications of the subject. Results from the Civic Dialog will be shared online.
In addition, Web 2.0 tools will invite broader public commentary about the nature and meaning of generosity in the region, furthering the reach of this Civic Dialog.
