Michael Dahl, Managing Director and General Counsel for Pew Charitable Trusts, shared Pew’s transition from private foundation to pubic charity as a fulcrum for change. His talk focused on the private foundation model for philanthropy. Dahl shared Pew’s experiences converting from a private foundation to a public charity, and the potential limiting factors in driving broad scale social change.
